The Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme

The Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme is the largest dog training scheme in the UK. Its aim is to promote responsible dog ownership and in turn, enhance our relationship with our pets and to make the community aware of the benefits associated with dog ownership.

It brings together simple everyday tasks and exercises such as basic dog training, grooming, exercise, diet, cleaning up after the dog and general healthcare. All dogs are eligible for Good Citizen training, whether they are pedigree or cross-breed, young or old.

The Scheme is not competitive and there are four levels of achievement, Puppy Foundation, Bronze, Silver and Gold.

Dog training classes are also a great way to socialise your dog and meet other dog owners. So whether you have a beginner puppy or an older dog in need of a refresher class, book now.

These classes are held in Bittaford, just outside Ivybridge
